In conjunction with the 40th anniversary of the return of Vietnam War POWs and in an effort to show renewed commitment to the mission of achieving the fullest possible accounting of those initially listed as POW and MIA, and to help raise responsible public awareness on the issue, a Petition has been created to show our government that we are determined to achieve the fullest possible accounting of our unreturned veterans (POW/MIA). This Petition will be delivered to our government officials on behalf of the American public and the National League of POW/MIA Families.
We are requesting your help in the effort to secure 83,000 or more signatures (representing the more than 83,000 U.S. personnel originally listed as Missing In Action or Killed In Action/Body Not Recovered from World War II to present).
Please visit the Petition website to sign the petition and support our desire to let our government know how the American public feels. You may also contact us for a hardcopy of the Petition and support us by gathering signatures in your local community. All signatures must be received by June 10th, 2013. The Petition will be presented to our elected officials in attendance at the Annual Meeting of the National League of POW/MIA Families in June 2013.
